Job Overviewr
As a Bartender in a luxury train cruise, you are responsible for providing exceptional service to guests while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and hospitality. Your primary focus is on delivering an exquisite and memorable beverage experience through the preparation and presentation of drinks.r
Key Responsibilitiesr
Customer Service:r
- Greet and engage with guests in a kindly and welcoming manner.r
- Take and fulfil drink orders efficiently, ensuring accuracy and quality.r
- Provide recommendations on cocktails, wines, and other beverages based on guest tastes.r
Mixology and Beverage Preparation:r
- Master the art of mixology, creating unique and signature cocktails that reflect the train’s brand and quality standards.r
- Ensure the proper preparation and presentation of all beverages, adhering to recipe guidelines.r
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including the proper handling and storage of ingredients and supplies.r
Product Knowledge:r
- Stay updated on new products, techniques, and the latest trends in beverages and mixology.r
- Have in-depth knowledge of the train’s drink menu, including details about ingredients, preparation methods, and pairings.r
Compliance and Safety:r
- Ensure the bar is compliant with all relevant health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.r
- Monitor alcohol consumption and ensure responsible service, complying with legal regulations.r
Communication and Collaboration:r
- Work closely with the Chief de Bar and the cookery staff, and waiters to coordinate and streamline servicer
- Communicate effectively with guests to create a personalized and memorable experience.r
Upselling and Revenue Generation:r
- Actively promote specials, events, and premium beverages to enhance guest experience.r
- Upsell premium and specialty drinks while maintaining a consultative and service-oriented approach.r
Qualificationsr
Experience & Certifications: r
- Proven experience as a bartender in a high-end or luxury environmentr
- Extensive knowledge of beverages, mixology, and industry trendsr
Skills:r
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.r
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.r
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.r
- Proficiency in English and Italianr
Flexibility:r
- Availability to work on shifts and on weekends.
